Unlike other NCAR programs or divisions, ASP does not have primary responsibility for any special area of NCAR science. Instead, the ASP mission, broadly defined, is to help NCAR (and the scientific communities it serves) prepare for the future. ASP supports a Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, a Faculty Fellowship Program and a Graduate Student Visitor Program.
The Visitor Program of the High Altitude Observatory aims at enhancing scientific and educational contacts between HAO and the national and international solar and solar-terrestrial communities. This program invites applications for short-term visits and provides financial support for these visits. Appointments are available to undergraduate and graduate students, post-graduate researchers, and established researchers seeking sabbatical leave opportunities.
Project-specific postdoctoral employment in science and technology.
